Every Little Heartbeat

image

Dear Logan, Yesterday was three months since you have been gone, and so needless to say it was not a good day. I am suddenly realizing that I don’t remember what it felt like to hold you in my arms. I have to watch videos to remember what your voice sounded like. The other day I had to draw up medicine in a syringe for someone I am taking care of and I almost lost it. It should have been your medicine I was measuring out. Your meds are still in the fridge, because I can’t bring myself to throw them away. the calendar is still stuck on July, because I can’t erase your schedule off; your carseat is still in the car, and so is the baby on board sticker. It’s so hard to move on. I went into your room last night because I had to get something…

Reece’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies

Future.Flying.Saucers

I tried a new recipe tonight. I have seen it floating around and I took the bait.

AND THEY ARE YUMMY!!!

Here’s the quick and simple recipe:

Ingredients:
24 Reese’s Cups
Pre-made cookie dough squares
Brownie mix (prepared)

Set the oven to 350 degrees. Spray the insides of the muffin tin or use cupcake wrappers. Place a square of pre-made cookie dough in each wrapper. I made the brownie mix while the dough softened. Squish the dough flat and put a Reese’s Cup placed upside down on top. Fill up the tin with the brownie mix up to 3/4 full. Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes.  Let  cool.

Variations: (I haven’t tried these yet!)
1. For the large muffin tins, just bake about 5 minutes longer.
2. Substitute Rollos, or Oreos, for the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
3. Substitute Peanut Butter cookie dough for the chocolate chip cookie dough.

Praise the Lord the lbs are gone and I feel good. I’m still tired but i know that will change in time. 🙂

Life Without Logan

Every Little Heartbeat

I ran eight miles today!!!! I am so excited about this. I have been having knee problems due to the fact that I haven’t really been doing any strength training. I started doing other workouts besides running and it has really made all the difference. I am almost ready for my first half-marathon!

I have always loved to run, but these days it is more than just a workout; it is therapy. Life without Logan is getting harder, not easier. Reality sets in a little more everyday, and it is horrible. It’s awful trying to figure out how to go on without my baby. I get so frustrated, and discouraged, and mad. There are days where I just want to quit because I think there is nothing else that could go wrong if I did. It’s a terrible attitude, but it comes out. And yes there are days where I…

Prayer Warriors

Future.Flying.Saucers

I’ve been thinking this morning…

I wonder if you could be a prayer warrior and not know it. I don’t know if I have any proof for this, and maybe you Readers can help me find scripture to support it or not support it.

God gives us talents and abilities.
We are supposed to put our abilities to work in the honoring of the Lord.
I really think some people have been gifted with the ability to pray.

Don’t get me wrong. Everyone is called by God to have a prayer life.

Every Little Heartbeat

It has been awhile since I have written. My hubby and I have been out of the country on a cruise, and I just want to say it was by far one of the best vacations I have ever had! It was wonderful to get away from everything for an entire week and see a new side of God’s creation. Every vacation has to end but it was one of those trips that ended way too soon. I say all of that to say that if you have never been on a cruise you should definitely take one.
In September we did our first project from Logan’s Legacy. Our church put 10,000 John and Romans together and sent them to Zambia. It was an awesome, emotional time; and a reminder that my son’s memory will live on. I hope that one day I will hear about someone who came to…
