Graveyard humor

Give me 5 minutes a day and I'll give you a happier, more successful life

Кабак

A drunk man left a bar and decided to take a shortcut through a graveyard. It was raining heavily and rather dark, with only a half moon in the sky above, it cast eerie shadows across the tombstones, giving the drunk man the creeps. He didn’t see an open grave in front of him and fell into it. He tried to climb out but the rain made the sides of the hole too slippery to climb. Finally he decided to give up and spend the night there and try again in daylight after he sobered up.

A while later, another drunk left the same bar and took the same shortcut through the graveyard. He too felt scared by the creepy shadows moving over the tombstones and the eerie atmosphere of the graveyard. He, too fell into the open grave. The first drunk was still there and watched him try to…

Logan’s Time

Every Little Heartbeat

July 30, 2012 we got up like any normal morning. Logan was fussy like normal and so I spent several minutes getting him calmed down and put him in his mama roo so I could get ready. It was a big day! The day before his surgery, and we were all packed and ready to go. We were anxious, and at the same time excited because Logan was going to be more stable after this surgery. We would finally be able to have somewhat of a normal life, and there wouldn’t be awful days of wondering if his shunt would get blocked or if his little heart would just simply give out. Yes, we were so ready for this second surgery.
I had finished getting ready, and Chris was getting into the shower. Logi had messed his diaper, and was mad so i went to change his diaper, and right in…

We reap what we sow: sow good to get good

Give me 5 minutes a day and I'll give you a happier, more successful life

Since we reap what we sow we can sow thoughts of abundance to reap abundance. What is true wealth? Some people have millions of dollars but don’t have much happiness. If we want more good things like peaceful, loving relationships, health, wealth, success in career and parenting, we can reap good thoughts.

Have you ever sat under a shade tree on a day in late summer when the leaves are still on the trees, the breeze is cool, the cicadas are chirping and you look out over the grass and trees and feel very content? Just relax and soak in the goodness of being alive. Think about the abundance of good things that you enjoy, that you already have and more will come to you. I love to sit outdoors with a cup of strong tea on Saturday morning and enjoy the invigorating feeling it gives me. Then I…

Psalm 46

1 (To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.) God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
